Let’s get back to our regularly scheduled programming, shall we?
How many of you remember THESE things?
These are the things kids these days would never survive. We found this beauty in Eufaula (broken bones), AL at White Oaks Creek (skinned off knee caps) Recreation Area. Just in case any of you want to recreate one of your own painful, childhood memories. Weren’t they soooo fun? When it didn’t hurt. Or give you a scar. Or make you cry. Or throw up. Ok, it was only fun if you didn’t ride it.
I thought the government would have already shut them down like they did the campgrounds in Indiana.
Anyway, I’ve got video footage of a father christening his young son and his friends on this particular death trap. As the amateurs began moving about, I cut the video before I witnessed a concussion or dislocation that I may never recover from.
I hope this got your mind off of whatever has been troubling you since all of this started. We are all affected one way or another. Some of us are losing a loved one. Some of us have no way to pay our rent. Some of us have reconnected with our family. Some of are finding out we are more than who we ever thought we could be.
As for me, well…
The last few days have been trying, and that is an understatement. I survived finding a place to call home for the next few weeks in a state that deems campgrounds ‘non-essential’ and a crazy ass Indiana spring storm complete with hail and high winds…in a camper. I’m hoping I’m on the upside of it all and life will go back to the regularly scheduled programming for me. First chance we get to have a beer together, not on Zoom, you’re buying.
I’ll leave you, as always, with some unfiltered pics of our adventure. Quite possibly my favorite part of our travels. Enjoy.
