In order to not bore you to death with picture after picture of the greatest place on Earth, I decided to do a little video of our time spent in Glacier National Park. Put this on your list of places to see, like now. Well, not NOW, now. Because they have already had their first snowfall of the year. And that means that scary ass Road to the Sun will be closed. Very pretty views from the truck as my friends heckled me about not getting out and falling off a cliff. I could have sworn those 2 saw me trip on flat land twice before we even got started in this park. Or maybe that was their plan all along…Kidding. Those 2 goons have been lifesavers for me more than once on this adventure.
We didn’t hike any trails in the park, and probably for good reason. The day after we were there, a group of hikers encountered a grizzly on their trail. Onlookers from the clearing above were yelling a warning to the group below as the bear ran closer and closer to them. One such warning was “Don’t run!” Now, I don’t know about you guys, but if I see a giant grizzly barreling toward me, my ass is gone. And I may push you down, so I am sure to get away. Kidding. Maybe. Either way, I don’t carry clean underwear in my pack, and I would have certainly needed them after that.
Roxy and I are currently in Grand Junction, CO and for those not on the Beauty Shop Dropout Face Book page, go see for yourself what we have been up to on our stay here so far. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m working on getting some new stories written and hopefully they will be up next week sometime so be on the lookout for those. In the meantime, we are going to keeping exploring and seeing new things, our country and everything it has to offer never gets old. Until then, enjoy the video and know it is even more amazing in person.
